International contest dedicated to visual arts, the Arte Laguna Prize offers concrete opportunities to talents, promotes and disseminates contemporary art.
Born in 2006 from an idea of Arte Laguna Studio and organized by the Cultural Association MoCA (Modern Contemporary Art), it represents every year an interesting interpreter of the contemporary zeitgeist.
Over the years, the Prize has seen the participation of more than 25.000 artworks, has received applications from 105 Countries all over the world; has selected 43 international jurors among directors of museums and foundations, independent curators and art critics; has translated the regulations in eleven different languages becoming widespread in the web.
At the beginning, the sections of the contest where painting and photographic art, then were included sculpture and installations, video art, performance and virtual art, encompassing the various expressive languages of contemporary art.
The Arte Laguna Prize has grown with time, building year after year a strong Network of local and international collaborations, merging its path with Foundations, Museums, Festivals, over fifty Art Galleries and many companies that decided to take part actively in the creation of specific projects. The Arte Laguna Network is constantly growing and has the aim to offer the artists new and great opportunities of growth and promotion of one’s professional career, on the other hand, it provides the Partners with added value.
So, a System of relationships made of people and ideas has been created, an open-minded System that is always looking toward new horizons.
